1. Dawn Butler – Champion for Equality and Social Justice
Dawn Butler, MP for Brent Central, is a trailblazer in British politics. As one of the first Black female Labour MPs, she has been a fierce advocate for social justice, equality, and workers’ rights. Butler has continuously fought for policies that support marginalised communities and has been a vocal campaigner against discrimination.
2. Zadie Smith – Literary Icon
Award-winning novelist Zadie Smith grew up in Brent and has often drawn inspiration from her multicultural upbringing. Her debut novel, White Teeth, became an instant classic, capturing the essence of modern Britain. 3. Dame Elizabeth Nneka Anionwu – Pioneer in Healthcare
