Is now the time to do those ‘tomorrow’ jobs in your Wembley home?

In this two-minute read, we discover five jobs you can do around your home, which will stave off boredom, save you a few pounds and make you feel a little better.

Is now the time to do those ‘tomorrow’ jobs in your Wembley home?

We’re about to enter week five of the national lockdown. Or is it week 25?

Time seems to be passing differently at the moment it seems, don’t you think?

Talking of time, it’s the one thing many of us have plenty of right now.

So, this is the best chance you’ll have to get around to those jobs that have been on your to-do list for a while.

Below is a list of five jobs around your home that you can do simply and cost-effectively. Plus, when they’re done, they will add value to your home AND give you the satisfaction of knowing you used your ‘spare’ time productively.

1)     Get to grips with the garden if you have an outdoor space start simple. Use the spring weather to go out and give it a tidy up, do the weeding, re-potting and mowing.
2)     Painting. While wallpapering might be a little tricky for some of us, giving your rooms a lick of paint is in most people’s DIY capabilities. The impact a freshly painted room has can lift your mood too.
3)     Cleaning. It’s spring, so the perfect time to have a good clean up. Tackle the jobs you might usually swerve. Clean the fridge, under the beds, dust the wardrobes and spruce up your lightbulbs and lamps.
4)     Squeaky hinges and windows. It’s incredible what can be done with a can of WD40 or similar lubricant. How long has that door been driving you mad with its squeaking? This is the easiest job on the list but well worth doing.
5)     Less is more. We’ve talked about decluttering in a previous article. And it is regularly the number one tip an estate agent can give a homeowner when preparing their house for sale or let. You’ll feel better for doing it too.

If all this extra time spent in your home has got you thinking you want to move, get in touch with us.

While we can’t visit your property in person, there are several things we can do now to give you advice, ideas and insights, that will help you when things return to normal.

Meet Abigail

Hello, my name is Abigail, and I am the Grey in Grey & Co. I started working here in 2002 as a Junior Negotiator and have worked my way up the ranks since then. I took over running the company in 2014 and have been enjoying the roller coaster that is leadership ever since.   During my 20 plus years at Grey & Co I have dealt with the sale of over £100,000,000 worth of property and overseen the management of assets worth £250,000,000 for clients around the world.   I also had the pleasure of working with my father, the founder of Grey & Co, for 15 years before he sadly passed away and from him, I learnt the work hard ethic and our values today are still the ones that he founded the company on all those years ago.   Be Remarkable, Be Passionate, Be Humble and Be Better.   As a community centric boutique family agency, you couldn’t find a better partner to take with you on your property journey.
