Looking forward to life after Lockdown in Wembley

At Grey & Co we would like to go on record to thank all our keyworkers who have done so much for us all. They are heroes from the nurses and doctors, the care home workers, bin men and women and delivery drivers and shop staff. WEMBLEY salutes you all.
We saw a phrase earlier this month from an Australian estate agent who declared it ‘business unusual.’
This sounds about right to us.
The good news is there are some green shoots of positive news around the Coronavirus coming from other parts of the World. Lockdown is being eased in many parts of Europe.
And we’re preparing for life after lockdown as there are rumours that Boris Johnson will announce on Sunday that Estate Agents will be part of the phased return to work in the next 3 weeks. Mark Hayward from the NAEA Propertymark announced today that he is expecting this to be the case. Click here to read his view. We are embracing technology like never before and have invested in a 360-degree camera tours that means people can get a real feel for what a property is like from the comfort of their sofas.
And we’ve introduced online valuations using smartphones.All you need is Whats App on your phone, and we can provide you with a valuation based on you giving us a quick tour around your property.
We have also been carrying out video viewings so applicants have been creating a short list of properties to view post lockdown. We did our first Facebook Live Open House last week, so give us a follow on your social media platform of choice and have a look at what we have been getting up to.
We’re also introducing clean kits to take on valuations and viewings when the Government gives us the green light to get back to work safely. These will include shoe covers, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and other items to ensure the health and safety of people we work with and for is paramount.
Throughout the lockdown we have been taking enquiries from people looking to move post lockdown. But in the last two weeks we have seen these enquiries increase tenfold so we are preparing for a busy period once social distancing and other rules are relaxed.
